It connects Restauradores Square and Bairro Alto (S\u00e3o Pedro de Alc\u00e2ntara Viewpoint) via Cal\u00e7ada da Gl\u00f3ria.<br \/>\n It operated with a water counterweight as a traction system, later with steam. In 1915, the second elevator installed in the city of the 7 hills was electrified.<br \/>\n The cars used were double-decker, with benches arranged longitudinally.
