Until 5 years.<br \/>\n&#8211; On Sundays and public holidays, for residents in Portugal.<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Address:<\/strong> Estrada da Pena. 2710-609 Sintra.<\/p>\n<h2>Moorish Castle history<\/h2>\n<p> The Moorish Castle is the result of the occupation of Sintra over time, interventions carried out during the first dynasty, initiated by King Afonso Henriques after the capture of Lisbon and Santar\u00e9m (1147), until the use of the fortification during the reign of King Ferdinand 1st (1383), the damage caused by the 1755 earthquake, the restoration works of King Ferdinand 2nd in the 19th century and the romantic taste of the time.<br \/>\n The work made it possible to identify a medieval Christian cemetery, silos and foundations of Muslim houses, as well as objects and artefacts from the Bronze Age, the Iron Age and the Neolithic, highlighting a complete ceramic vase from the 5th millennium BC.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fernandolopes.pt\/en\/horarios-precos-monumentos-museus-sintra\/\">Palaces and Monuments in Sintra<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Tours in Sintra<\/h2>\n<div style='text-align:center;'><script>function loadScript(url, callback){var script=document.createElement('script');
