Having a great fortune, which earned him the nickname Monteiro dos M\u00edveis. He hired the Italian architect and scenographer Luigi Manini (1848-1936) for the architecture and landscape project, as well as the mastery of the sculptors, stonemasons and carvers who had worked with him at the Palace Hotel in Bu\u00e7aco.<br \/>\n A man with a scientific spirit, a vast culture, a notable bibliophile, collector and great philanthropist, he left on this stone farm the vision of a cosmology, a synthesis of humanity&#8217;s spiritual memory, whose roots go back to the Portuguese and Universal Mythical Tradition. The architecture and art of the palace, chapel and other buildings were designed in the context of a garden of Paradise, highlighting the Neo-Manueline and Renaissance styles.
