{"id":7598,"date":"2024-07-23T16:40:51","date_gmt":"2024-07-23T15:40:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fernandolopes.pt\/?p=7598"},"modified":"2025-09-05T19:18:45","modified_gmt":"2025-09-05T18:18:45","slug":"horarios-precos-planetario-lisboa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fernandolopes.pt\/en\/horarios-precos-planetario-lisboa\/","title":{"rendered":"Opening hours and prices of the Planetarium of Lisbon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<h2>Schedules of the Planetarium<\/h2>\n<ol><strong>Tuesday to Friday:<\/strong> 09:45 to 16:00.<\/ol>\n<ol><strong>Saturday and Sunday:<\/strong> 10:00 to 12:00 and from 13:30 to 16:30.<\/ol>\n<ol><strong>Close:<\/strong> Mondays and 1 January, Easter Sunday, 1 May and 25 December.<\/ol>\n<h2>Planetarium tickets<\/h2>\n<ul>&#8211; From 0 to 3 years Free.<br \/>\n&#8211; From 4 to 12 years old and over 65 years old 3.50 euros.<br \/>\n&#8211; From 13 to 64 years 7.00 euros.<br \/>\n&#8211; Groups of 10 adults 63.00 euros.<br \/>\n&#8211; FAMILY: 2 Adults + 2 childs 18.00 euros \/ child Extra 3.00 euros.<br \/>\n<strong>Free days &#8211;<\/strong> Navy Day on May 20 and Navy Planetarium Day on July 20.<br \/>\n<strong>Note:<\/strong> tickets for the Planetarium are purchased at the Museu de Marinha.<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Address:<\/strong> Pra\u00e7a do Imp\u00e9rio &#8211; Bel\u00e9m. 1400-206 Lisboa.<\/p>\n<h2>History of the Planetarium (Planet\u00e1rio) of Lisbon<\/h2>\n<p> The Naval Planetarium was opened in 1965.<br \/>\nThe installation of a modern astronomical projection device in a semi-spherical dome room satisfied one of the aspirations of the Portuguese Astronomical Society, founded in 1917, and made the long-held dream of a Naval Officer and amateur astronomer, Commander Eug\u00e9nio Concei\u00e7\u00e3o Silva, come true.<br \/>\n The projector, with 32 star projectors, can display over 9,000 stars, as well as the Milky Way, clusters of stars and nebulae, figures of the constellations and auxiliary didactic lines, thus providing the means to popularize Astronomy and continue the dream of keeping astronomy alive in Portugal.<br \/>\nIt has a Gallery with various exhibitions, an Observatory and a Library with over 1,000 books.
